Spec check
Meccha Chameleon System Requirements
The official bar is low: Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-class CPU, and a DirectX 11/12 compatible graphics card. That is the complete Steam listing — shorter than you'd expect, and we explain what it does and doesn't tell you below (verified 2026-07-03).
The Full Spec Table
| Component | Minimum | Plain-language note |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 11 also qualifies; no Mac or Linux build exists |
| Processor | Intel Core i5 (or AMD equivalent) | Any mid-range CPU from the last ~8 years clears this |
| Graphics | DirectX 11 or 12 compatible | Includes most recent integrated GPUs, not just gaming cards |
| RAM | Not listed by Steam | Unofficially: 8GB is comfortable for a title this light |
| Storage | Not listed by Steam | Small download — tracked on our game size page |
| Network | Broadband internet | Online multiplayer — a stable connection matters most |

What Steam Doesn't List (and Why We Won't Invent It)
The official listing is unusually short: no RAM line, no storage line, no recommended tier. Several other sites fill those blanks with confident-looking numbers — an "i7 recommended" here, "8GB RAM required" there. Those figures are not from the developer. Our policy is to show you exactly what the official source says and clearly label anything beyond it as unofficial guidance, so you never make a purchase decision on an invented spec.
What the short listing signals in practice: this is a deliberately lightweight game. A stylized hand-drawn art style, compact stages and 2–10 player lobbies simply don't demand much hardware — which is consistent with the developer only bothering to state an OS, a CPU class and a DirectX level.
Thirty-Second Self-Check
Not sure what your machine has? Press Win+R, type dxdiag, and hit Enter. The System tab shows your Windows version and CPU; the Display tab shows your GPU and its DirectX support level. If you see Windows 10/11 64-bit, any Core i5/Ryzen 5 or better, and DirectX 11+, you clear the bar with room to spare. Borderline machine? Buy on Steam, test a real lobby, and use the refund window if it struggles — details on the price page. Laptop-specific expectations live on the PC page, including what to do when a machine sits right on the borderline.
Minimum Spec vs. Real-World Experience
Meeting a minimum spec means the game runs — not that it runs the way you want during a tense final minute. In this game the metric that matters is frame-rate stability, for a gameplay reason: Seeking is the art of noticing a slightly wrong color or a repeated prop, and a stuttering image hides exactly those tells. On hardware right at the minimum line, prefer a lower resolution with steady frames over maximum sharpness with dips. Machines even one tier above minimum — a Ryzen 5 laptop, a desktop with any discrete GPU from the last five years — run the game without a second thought, which is precisely why the developer never bothered publishing a recommended tier. Bandwidth requirements are equally modest — small lobbies mean the game is far more sensitive to connection stability than to raw speed. Practical setup advice for borderline machines lives on the PC version page.
